Euston Foodbank – Partnership With Purpose

Our latest initiative saw the Loughton Direct team deliver brand-new flooring at the Euston Foodbank, helping to improve an essential community facility.
At Loughton Direct, we understand the value of meaningful partnerships, particularly when they contribute to something bigger than ourselves. That’s why, as part of a wider initiative led by Overbury, we were proud to support the effort by working closely with PERI and Altro to upgrade the foodbank’s key operational areas.
Specifically, the work focused on refurbishing the food preparation and storeroom spaces — high-traffic zones that require surfaces which are not only durable, but also hygienic and safe. To meet those needs, our team installed PERI FLOOR Plywood and Altro Suprema safety flooring, along with weld rods, all generously donated by our project partners.
This was, without a doubt, a true collaborative effort:
- Overbury led the initiative through their social value programme
- PERI donated the plywood subfloor
- Altro supplied the safety flooring and weld rods
- Loughton Direct carried out the installation
“Seeing the sheer scale of people who can’t even afford the basics in life was a real eye-opener, and witnessing the volunteers who give their time and energy to help them was incredibly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone involved in helping us give a little back and create a space the community can be proud of.”
Brian Handman, Client Services Manager – Loughton Direct
“The room looks brighter – simply stunning. The support we have had from you gives us strength to carry on. Taking time to support us over a busy weekend was touching. Community spirit at its best.”
Lynette, Euston Foodbank
As a result of this partnership, the newly upgraded spaces will help the foodbank continue its vital work, serving the community with dignity, care, and compassion.
At Loughton Direct, we remain committed to using our expertise and partnerships to support people, not just projects.
