The Brief
A leading global insurance broker got in touch with Loughton Direct as part of an ongoing approach to keep their timber flooring looking its best and performing reliably under daily use. With regular footfall across the space, the client wanted to avoid premature wear and maintain a consistently high standard of appearance.
Rather than waiting for the floor to deteriorate to the point of refurbishment, the brief focused on preventative maintenance to protect the timber and extend its service life.

As part of Loughton Direct’s 6 monthly maintenance programme with the client, the timber floor was assessed and treated to ensure it remained properly protected. The surface was first deep cleaned to remove ingrained dirt and surface contamination that can gradually break down protective finishes.
Fresh oil was then applied to rehydrate and nourish the timber, restoring the protective layer that helps shield against wear. The floor was subsequently buffed to achieve an even finish and consistent appearance across the space.

This routine maintenance helps extend the timbers life cycle, protecting the initial investment, and postponing the large costs of replacing the entire area.

The completed maintenance works refreshed the appearance of the timber floor, restoring the depth and consistency across the space. Visually, the floor continues to meet the high standards of the client and supports the quality of the surrounding environment.
By investing into regular maintenance, the client benefits from a floor which not only looks better day to day, but is also protected long-term. This planned approach helps extend the life of the timber and keep it performing as intended, avoiding unnecessary costs from neglecting your timber.

Even healthy floors benefit from regular maintenance, to help prevent future issues and keep them performing at their best.
