The Brief
Following the completion of a recent fit-out, a corporate client contacted Loughton Direct to review flooring on one level of their office. While the works had been successfully delivered to an excellent standard, the carpet tiles installed on a single floor were not achieving the desired look or aesthetic that was present in the rest of the building.
The client wanted to create a more cohesive finish across all the floors, ensuring the space reflected the business’ identity and design intent.
After reviewing the space, Loughton Direct confirmed that the best solution was to replace the carpet tiles on the affected floor with the same Milliken carpet tiles already installed on the various other levels of the building.
By matching the existing specification, the works ensured visual consistency across the workplace while maintaining the performance and durability expected within a busy office environment. The existing tiles were carefully uplifted and replaced, with close attention paid to alignment and finish to ensure a seamless result.
This approach allowed the client to correct the aesthetic without altering the wider fit-out and achieve the desired outcome.
The completed floor now sits comfortably alongside the surrounding spaces, delivering a consistent, professional appearance throughout the building. Visually, the updated carpet tiles bring the floor back in line with the wider office design, reinforcing a cohesive look and feel.
By addressing the issue early and selecting a like-for-like replacement, the client achieved a straightforward solution that improved presentation without excessive cost or disruption. The result is a workspace that looks considered, unified, and aligned with how the building is intended to be experienced.
