The Brief

The existing timber floors in the offices of Apple, 22 Bishopsgate were looking worn and tired. Our specialist timber maintenance team were on hand to transform the floor, leaving it looking brand new.

Loughton Contracts installed the timber floor at 22 Bishopsgate over 2 years ago but a combination of heavy traffic and poor cleaning/maintenance regime resulted in the floor surface being dull, dirty and damaged.

The timber flooring had ingrained dirt and visible surface scratches caused by a numerous different factors, such as chairs within the office space being dragged along the floor, dirty footwear and poor cleaning, that detracted from the rest of the office space.

Our specialist restoration team carried out a deep clean of the floors with state of the art scrubber drying machines and then applied an additional maintenance coat to the less effected areas.

In the more worn and damaged areas we fully sanded the floor, removing the old finish and any scratches/dents back to bare timber. Following a thorough vacuum of the floor, the team then applied a coat of natural primer followed by two coats of Bona Raw HD lacquer. This finish produces as natural look to the floor, indicative of when it was first installed.
