The Brief
A luxury hotel client called us seeking to refresh their timber and carpet which was due for renewal. Loughton Direct delivered a full uplift, re-specification and install, providing new vinyl and carpet finishes to improve both the appearance and performance of the interior.
The existing timber floor in the restaurant had reached the end of its service life. It had been sanded and sealed numerous times, leaving no room for further restoration. Our team carefully removed the timber before building up the subfloor with latex to create a lovely level surface.
We then supplied and installed Karndean Art Select LVT on top of the surface. This was chosen for it’s realistic grain & durability, making it an excellent choice for a high-traffic hospitality environment. The finished result combines the appearance of natural wood with the resilience of modern LVT, ensuring both style and long-term performance.
In the lounge area and ground floor lobby, we replaced the worn and outdated carpet with a stunning Ege carpet. The design was recoloured to match with the interior and maintain the respective rooms aesthetic.
Finishes were completed with brass trims from C.A.T Accessories, offering a smooth transition between floor finishes.
